I love the connection between noticing the good in our own lives and noticing it in others. It’s the same muscle, and most of us don’t exercise it enough, Tina.
Sometimes when we aren't appreciated by ourselves or those around us, we find it easy to also take others for granted. Start to notice our own good and also that in others and it will circle back with people noticing it in you.
No heartbreak for us so far, though Sunday's (Monday morning 2am for us) match was a tad nail biting!
Having our third heatwave of the year at the moment, so a tad warm this week.
..and I don't think it's that those around them don't appreciate it, it's just that they don't notice. You don't realised something's value until it's not there any more.
I love the idea of treating team acknowledgment the same way we’d treat noticing good things in our personal day. It takes deliberate effort, but it makes a difference. The "pause at the end of a meeting" tip is gold; it’s a small shift but I can already see how that would change the whole vibe.
Thanks for the nudge to look for the good more intentionally.
Thanks Funke, glad that you've got some value out of this. It's really nice to hear back from readers about how they find the articles, I appreciate you letting me know.

Another week of heartbreak at the World Cup :(
I hope your week is going well.

A third heatwave eh?
Your weather is clearly competing with the football for drama. 😂
Best of luck to England on Saturday :)
Thanks, don't know if I can stand to watch it - and I'm not that much of a fan!!
That’s fair, Tina
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
Its amazing how starved so many are of appreciation - thanks for the article Tina
