This is a great breakdown of communication styles Tina! Conversations flow so much better when we adjust to how others process information rather than just how we prefer to deliver it. I’ve seen how a Driver gets impatient with too much small talk or how an Analytical shuts down without enough details. The ability to adapt is what makes communication actually work.

Do you work with enthusiasts or drivers in the startup world Neela?

hmmmmmm

I’d say both.

Although the magic happens when enthusiasm is paired with direction.

Enthusiasts bring energy, vision, and passion, but without drivers, that passion can fizzle into wishful thinking. Drivers, on the other hand, push forward, make the tough calls, and ensure execution, but without enthusiasm, it can become a boring grind.

The best founders and teams I’ve worked with strike a balance. Enthusiasm to dream big and the drive to make it happen. The challenge I've seen in startups is not knowing when to shift gears between the two.

As a solo entrepreneur I find I have to keep changing gears all the time, it's exhausting I need a business that's like driving an automatic

Definitely the prayer of someone who would like to do a bit more of what they love and a bit less of what they don't

If you can manoeuvre the different personality needs and bring out the best in everyone, working with a wide variety of people will get the best results. It's just that managing needs that's the tricky bit. Working on my own means I frequently call on others to support me!

I have been know to describe myself as a sort of mushy brown! I can see bits of all colours in me - although perhaps stronger on green and less so on red.

Earthy colours are good - I’m probably a bit beige these days - glad you can see all the colours in yourself though - I’m always surprised at what colours I can see in others
